Yellowstone, Wyoming: My Favorite Place

Yellowstone National Park: My Favorite Place

Growing up, my family created the tradition of road tripping to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming every summer. Over the years, we have made so many fun memories on these trips and Wyoming has truly become a second home. We have taught ourselves the ins and outs of the park and all of its treasures, big and small. There are many places that we choose to go back to each and every year. The first of which is Hayden Valley. It is here that we often watch wolves or bears with their cubs. It quite a vision, especially during a beautiful sunset!

Another place we love to go is Mt. Washburn. You can hike a 3.5 mile trail to the top of this mountain for an amazing view and a great source of exercise! The views all the way up and down are equally as incredible, as you get multiple view of the miles and miles of wilderness surrounding you.

  1. What great pictures, Jessie! My husband lived in Wyoming when he was young, and he keeps telling me that is where we should move when I retire. Maybe we will! And what a beautiful photo you took of that bear: wow! You will meet up with bears in the epics because one of Rama's allies is Jambavan, king of the bears, and Jambavan's daughter marries one of the heroes of the Mahabharata, Krishna: Wikipedia: Jambavan

For the links, it's important to create actual link text instead of just pasting in a confusing URL; there's a note about how to do the links in Blogger here: Links in Blogger (each system is a little different, but the basic idea is usually: type text, highlight text, click link icon, paste in URL... and that way the users see actual words to click on, telling them where the link will take them)

  2. Hi Jessie! That is so cute that your family has a tradition of traveling to Wyoming every summer. Most of my family members have motion sickness so we hate long car rides but at the same time, my parents always refuse to buy plane tickets. The sunset photo of Hayden Valley is absolutely gorgeous! The quality of your camera is amazing!
